Courage is not the absence of fear, but the facing of it.
There is a great meaning to read sacred texts of Buddhism and Christianity – in them are values that can help us develop into better human beings.
However, most of us obtain knowledge from these texts but don’t carry understanding of how it applies to our everyday lives. Most of this knowledge remains dormant in our minds and never comes alive in our life experiences. When this knowledge isn’t expressed, this knowledge becomes valueless trivia.
The transition of knowledge from value to useless trivia is a tragedy in this world.
Truth is always nearby us, but most people don’t listen to it. Other times, they listen and may understand it, but cannot connect it to everyday life. Without understanding it, truth evaporates away from the mind.
When you are ready to connect to Jesus or Buddha, you should avoid thinking that you are intellectually superior to others. Prophets never preach a religion as their own, but they are preaching how to become better human beings. True life doesn’t come from the head but the heart.
Knowledge doesn’t last long…
When it is convenient to be applied, our intelligence helps us to apply it. When no opportunity to apply the knowledge comes by, the knowledge disappears.
You must apply what you learn into everyday life. This ultimately teaches you humbleness as well as wisdom which both help you to feel more content about life.
Courage is a great mental capability. When we are not courageous, we cannot be truthful. We may not be able to truly love ourselves or others.
People who may know the right thing to do may not take action because the lack of courage in their lives.
When you take action despite fear, miracles happen – you suddenly stop doing things that are useless in helping you get closer to your goals such as negative self-talk and rational lying. They will always remember the feeling, “when I take action, it is doable.”
