Human beings are slaves to their habits. Habits of what we do and what we don’t do.
Habits of what we do can encompass good and bad habits. You may be doing something that isn’t beneficial to your body or mind and while you may know this, you may not know how to stop it. Another example is you could be watching too much of TV or spending too much time on the computer or cell phone.
Behaviors such as these are similar to the behavior of addictions.
When you aren’t able to stop those activities when you need “Just one more”, “Just a little longer” then it is considered an addicted behavior and eventually that becomes a habit.
Habits of what we don’t do can encompass things, tasks or goals we know we’re supposed to be doing. Because fear of failure, rejection or doing it with a miserable attitude, you stop. You stop or don’t even begin because you figure you can’t produce the results that you want.
Change your life by changing your mindset is first a step in discovery of self-awareness; what is really going on in your thoughts and your emotions BEFORE this habit takes place, commonly known as self-talk.
The second step is to learn how to train your brain so that you can re-focus your self-talk. Only then can you produce the results that you want. From there, real change happens.
Socrates once said “an unexamined life is not worth living.”
Are you ready to take that step?
I encourage you try out a discovery session of your beliefs and life. This is well worth your time.
